CryptoLocker là một công cụ giả lập ransomware mã nguồn mở, được phát triển bằng Visual C++. Nó có khả năng mã hóa toàn bộ tệ tin trên hệ thống, khóa máy tính và gửi khóa mã hóa về máy chủ quản lý thông qua giao diện web admin. Phiên bản hiện tại sử dụng thuật toán mã hóa AES 256-bit, đảm bảo tính bảo mật cao và tốc độ xử lý nhanh nhờ đa luồng.
